The Final Level of Our Evolution

Researcher Carl Calleman says there are nine levels of evolution. The ninth level is the final stage. People get confused when we talk about the end of time, thinking that when the Mayan Calendar ends, the world will end. That’s not my understanding.  I think this is the final level of our evolution and we will soon be in a place where we will be complete, so to speak. This means we will be aware of ourselves a spirit in body. We won’t have to operate on the dualistic perspective, which is a lower level of consciousness that uses right brain and left brain, switching back and forth and we see right/wrong, good/bad, this-that, you/me.
When we get to this higher level and fully embody our spiritual essence, we see beyond all the negativity of the earth plane and into our oneness. Your right and left-brain will begin working together in a centered place and you see that everything simple IS. It’s a really neat experience and that is where we are going as far as I understand.
Not everyone will shift into the higher consciousness. Some may still operate on the lower levels. I don’t get the sense that we are all going at once. When will this occur? Some say October 28; others say it’s 11/11/11; some say it is December 21, 2012. Whenever it is, it is prime opportunity because the energy is shifting now and all we need to do is match it in order to live from a heart-centered or soul-centered place instead of ego-dominant living.

Visual Exercise to See How Close Your Aura Is

How do you identify how far your boundary has strayed from you, and where yours ends and another person’s begins?  Is there a set distance we should strive for in keeping our aura? 
This is yours, this is your space, and you can do whatever you want with it, but I keep mine at about an arm’s length. Here’s how:
1.       Close your and visualize the egg-shaped bubble of energy that surrounds your body. This is your auric field.
2.      Consciously bring your aura in closer until it is about an inch away from your body.  What does it feel like when it’s that close in?  Does it feel tight? Does it feel comfortable or uncomfortable?  When do you do this?  And notice the body cues. The body will tell you what it feels like when you’ve got your aura in like this.  What other times do you feel like this? 
3.      Now move it back out so the outer edge is about an arm’s length away in front of and behind you, above and below you, and to the sides. Now smooth the outer edge as if caressing a beloved pet. Now you get a sense of what it feels like when your aura is this distance. Notice how you feel in your body. How is this different than before?
4.      Next move it way out to fill the whole room, and notice what that feels like.  Does this feel comfortable or uncomfortable? Safe or unsafe (vulnerable)? What are the body cues? What other times do you feel like this? 

5.      Now, bring it back in again to about an arm’s length and re-own it. 
Playing with the distance, moving the boundary in and out is one way to get the feeling of your aura. If you can’t feel your aura, you can have someone use dowsing rods to locate the edges. You can make them out of coat hangers (see photos below) and measure someone’s aura. Loosely hold the shorter part of the L-shaped rod in your hand vertically. When you reach the boundary of their aura the rods will spread apart from each other. It’s an interesting thing to do anytime you want to play with energy.
Owning your aura helps you be with other people and be close to them without taking on their stuff.  You can hug someone, and if you both own your own space, you’re not going to get enmeshed in one another’s energy. If you do not own your aura, you might be at a party and someone across the room is glaring at you. You will be able to feel them invading your space; they don’t even have to be close to you.  We can invade each other’s auras from the other side of the world.  It’s all energy and it goes anywhere.

How to Clear Detrimental Energy

If there is a person in your life who continuously drains you, it could be that you knew each other in a past life. This uncomfortable connection (psychic hook) could be stemming from some unfinished business that needs to be resolved. Here is a visualization you can do to assist in clearing this person’s energy from your field and avoid having him or her continue to siphon your energy.

1. Light a candle, call for your higher self and ask your guides to assist you.
2. Ground and center your energy.
3. Ask your guides to show you what part you played in creating this psychic hook
4. Forgive all offenses in this and all other life times you may have shared with this person
5. Focus on where in your body you most keenly feel this person's energy
6. Imagine yourself with a pair of golden scissors, cutting the soul tie (etheric cord) from that place in your body. Make sure you cut it all the way down to the root of the original cause. If you see the energetic attachment as a hook (rather than a cord), cut the barb and gently slide the hook out of your body.
7. Proclaim that your business with this person is finished and everything that needs to be resolved is complete and healed. All lessons have been learned and the karma is resolved.
8. Send love and light into that place in your body where the hook was removed
9. Send love and light to the person you have forgiven
10. Thank your guides for their assistance
11. Snuff out the candle

This should help greatly and immediately. Whenever you are near this person or think of him or her, mentally remind yourself (and that person) that your business is complete and that you are both free to continue growing and learning without being attached to one another in a detrimental manner.

Unclogging a Chakra

Any chakra at any time can get clogged up from time to time. One person commented that sometimes when clearing her chakras and grounding herself, feels like she has a difficult time at her throat chakra; it sometimes feels like she’s choked there. Gini talks about how to unclog a blocked chakra or energy center.
There are five aspects to the fifth chakra, and one of those is your spirit-to-body communications–communicating with yourself and with others.  Notice where you shut your communication down, because you may have foreign energy in there. Wherever we have foreign energy, we’ve let it in, we have a vulnerability. So you may have a fear about speaking your truth.
Tune in when you’re meditating and clearing your chakras. I recommend centering in the middle of your fifth chakra. Run some gold energy through it or some clear light energy.  Then, look around and ask, “What’s there, what’s me, what’s not me?” As you name what’s you, that gets bigger, and as you name what’s not you, release it. 
Energy follows thought, so any exercise to help empaths is about using your internal vision or imagination. I work with roses a lot, so you could create an image of a rose in front of you, maybe a nice gold rose—gold is great for clearing—and then bring it through your fifth chakra. Treat the rose like it’s a duster, like you’re dusting the house, and you’re picking up the dust in your fifth chakra, picking up any foreign energy, anything that’s not you, and then release it.  Whenever you’re clearing your chakras, be bigger than the junk in there. Remember how big you are and touch into the flow of spirit. What we focus on grows.  Focus on your true vibration as you’re releasing what’s not you. Keep more that 50 percent of the focus on you as you release what’s not you.

Using Your Clairvoyance Instead of Your Clairsentience

In working with people who are empathic, I’ve noticed that a lot of people pick up on what’s going on through their clairsentience, which is that clear sensing, that gut feeling connected to the second chakra.  And while it’s a wonderful tool to have, especially for yourself, if you’re overusing it to the point where you’re picking up on everybody else’s feelings it can be detrimental to your health. 
We learn to do this growing up in dysfunctional families. The way to feel safe is to know what’s going on, so we feel what’s going on with mom and dad and then we know what to do to be safe. But what I find is more helpful is to use my clairvoyance, which is the sixth chakra of clear seeing, or claircognizance, which uses the seventh chakra of clear “knowing.” When you look at someone who is angry, you don’t have to match their vibration or take on their emotions in order to know what’s going on.
Be aware of your second chakra when you sense it picking up or aligning with the slower vibration of an unpleasant emotion. Then, use your mental power to turn down the dial on the clairsentient aspect of the second chakra a bit. Then, turn up your clairvoyance level of your sixth or seventh chakra. 

On my Spiritual Transformer site (http://www.ginigrey.com), I have an article about using your clairvoyance. But, briefly, here’s what you do:

1.       Center yourself by focusing on your pineal gland in the center of your head. (See How to Center to Bring Balance to Your Brain[YP1] .)

2.      I like using a rose as an image to hold energy, so envision a rose that represents you in spirit. Now look at that rose. What does your rose look like?

3.      Now look beyond the visual aspect and touch into your essence. You might get a sense of something or feel something. See if you can put a word to the essence of that rose represents as you.  What quality is the rose showing you about yourself? 

So you just quickly looked at your own energy, but you can do this with other people.  You could put a rose up for someone else. But eventually you get to a place where you just look at other people and just know.  Here’s how:
1.       Close your eyes and imagine the person you go into resistance with, or someone you feel uncomfortable with. 
2.      Imagine them coming into the room and standing a little way away from you.
3.      Now you’re looking at them, and you see their personality and you see their body, but I want you to look past that.  What’s going on with them? Do you tend to want to feel what’s going on with them? Do you want to feel their emotions? If so, see if you can you close that down and instead intuitively look at them with your clairvoyance. What do you see? What emotion are they running right now? 
CHIME IN! Looking with your spiritual eye at the imaginary rose you have created to represent yourself, you might see a color or something on the blossom or on the tip or the stem that says this is an area where you’re learning or you’re growing. Is there a word you can put with that that you’d be willing to share with us? What’s the general theme of what are you learning?

What Other Books Have Been Written by Empath Author Yvonne Perry?

When I wrote that book, I had a lot of disembodied spirits coming to me. I didn’t know why ghosts were visiting me, but I felt I was supposed to help them. Writing that book helped me find answers not only to know what the ghosts needed, but for protecting my energy field as an empath. So, the book not only deals with spirit visits after the passing of a loved one, it also covers many aspects of the dying and grieving process and sheds light on euthanasia, suicide, and near-death experience.

The Difference between Compassion and Suffering

During these times of shifting, it is helpful to know how to be in a place of compassion.  I mean compassion and not sympathy.  Sympathy comes easy for us empaths to feel sorry for someone when we see them suffering. We care about people—our loved ones and people in the world—and we want them to feel better.
But the vibration of sympathy is a slow vibration and it’s got victimhood written all over it. You might say or think, “Poor them or poor me” if you’re in sympathy.  But if you rise to a higher level of empathy and into compassion, you’re in a place where you’re looking at people from that centered place we talked about earlier where you see the power and light in them.  Sure, you see their suffering, but you also see that there’s a powerful spiritual being in there who has created this situation for a learning opportunity, and you know they have the resources to heal.  If I say hello to their bigness at the same time I’m saying hello to their suffering, that’s a gift for them. 
It’s about offering caring kindness but not dropping down into a slower vibration of sympathy, which doesn’t feel good to you and it doesn’t serve anyone else either.  So when you see this stuff going on in the world and with yourself and with other people, notice when you’re dropping down into that pity place or feeling sorry for another, and bring your vibration up.  Use your intention to rise to a higher level of compassion. Get centered and look at that person through your spiritual eye. Then, you will see the big picture and know that everything is fine, or is going to be ok. You will feel better and so will everyone else.

Owning Your Aura and Personal Space

The other one that I think is very useful is to be aware of your aura, because we often think we end where our skin ends.  But we don’t; we have this electromagnetic field of energy, known as an aura, surrounding the body. Because we carry information in our chakras, this is how we perceive, but we also carry that information in the layers of our aura.
Whatever I see, think, or feel has an electrical impulse that emits a signal into the world.
Everyone has their own reality and it may not be like yours. To keep from picking up this free-roaming information, you need to own your aura.  The more you own your aura, the easier it is to keep it clean and see things clearly.  Owning your aura also helps you to create healthy boundaries so that other people respect your space. 
Let’s try this technique. Become aware of the edge of your aura. I like to have my aura a distance of about an arm’s length from my body.  That’s an area I can own.  If I’m feeling fearful I may shrink it in too much and that’s not appropriate. If I try to make myself more visible I may have my aura way out there in everyone else’s space. That means I’m not owning it, and that’s not safe.  So I set my intention to have my aura about an arm’s length around me—in front of me, behind me, to my sides, above, and below. See yourself inside this clear bubble that surrounds you? That is your auric field.
Next, I smooth the outside edge as if caressing your pet or child. Often people use a clear gold or clear light vibration and they envision it around their body. Imagine your whole body and the space around you being clear. That way you can be in the midst of turmoil but nothing will stick in your space. By simply doing that, people will telepathically pick up that this is your space, and they’ll be more likely to respect it.  Whereas if you’re not owning your aura, it’s easy for people to throw their emotions in your space. You will sense their judgments and invalidation.  
Now the other thing about owning your aura is to do it from a place of non-resistance. If you’re in a hectic environment where people are throwing their emotions around and you’re empathic or sensitive you are going to pick up on it. If you go into resistance, you will create a space where stuff sticks to you. What we resist, persists. If you are consciously in a flow of light, other people’s energy will pass right through without affecting you.  If someone isn’t respecting your space, even though you’re owning your boundaries and aura, nothing will stick; it will just flow right through you or pass down your grounding cord, or you’ll just not notice it as much.
When you own your aura and are aware of your energy flow, you know when someone else’s emotion is in your space. You know what your own energy and emotions feel like. When all of a sudden something feels a bit heavy or a icky, you can say, “This isn’t mine,” and you can lay it down or take it off the way you would take off a sweater.  This will work if you are not in resistance and you’re owning your space.  You’ll feel safer, have more balance, and feel healthier with what’s going on.
Sometimes I’ll feel some fear in my space and then I realize something is going on out in the world–an earthquake has happened or something–and I’m picking up on the fear.  Even if I haven’t read a newspaper, I’m picking up on the event, so by knowing I know what my energy feels like I am aware when I’m feeling something that is not mine. I move out of resistance to it and just let it go, then I feel better.

Could You Be An Emotional Vampire? How Do You Know?

We’ve all got a smidgeon of vampire in us, especially when we’re stressed. So, cut yourself a break. It’s admirable to admit, “I think I’m emotionally draining people. What can I do?” Can’t be free without such honesty. Then you can change. These are some common indications that you’re becoming a drainer.
  • People avoid you or glaze over during a conversation
  • You’re self-obsessed
  • You’re often negative
  • You gossip or bad-mouth people
  • You’re critical, controlling
  • You’re in an emotional black hole, but won’t get help--this strains relationships and won’t free you
The solution is always to own up to where you’re emotionally stuck and change the related behavior. For instance, one patient in computer graphics kept hammering his wife with a poor-me attitude about how he always got stuck with boring projects at work. Instead of trying to improve the situation, he just kvetched. She started dreading those conversations, diplomatically mentioned it to him. This motivated my patient to address the issue with his supervisor, which got him more stimulating assignments. Similarly, whenever I slip into vampire mode, I try to examine and alter my behavior or else discuss the particulars with a friend or a therapist so I can change. Don’t hesitate to seek assistance when you’re stumped. Also, review the types of emotional vampires in Emotional Freedom (the Narcissist, The Victim, The Controller, The Criticizer, The Splitter)  to make sure you’re not one of them.

Hearing Things No One Else Hears

Everyone is becoming more intuned with the spirit realm as the earth is shifting in vibration, so we might as well expect to experience some things that have not been common to us heretofore. For example, for many years now I've had episodes when I can hear with my physical ears what seems like a radio talk show in the distance. The voices don't engage with me and I can't make out what is being said. It's more like I'm eaves dropping on a conversation going on way across the room. I can hear the voices, but not the words.

Additionally, for as long as I can remember, I have constantly heard a high-pitched ringing in my ears. It is so loud that I can hear it even when there is a lot of noise in the room. I've learned to go about my business without being distracted by it. I'm comforted to know that this is the frequency of my higher guidance.

Recently, a friend of mine mentioned a related incident. About five months ago this woman started to hear random conversations that no one else could hear. She said it is like listening in on a conversation of random things. She was very afraid at first and is still not sure what to make of it.

From what I've experienced and read about others who have had similar experiences, this is nothing to be concerned about. We are tapping into the collective thoughts of humanity that are in the mental and emotional aura that surrounds Mother Earth as part of Her electromagnetic field.

If you are hearing things that no one else does, don't panic. As long as the voices are not urging you to harm yourself (or others) and they are not interfering with your daily life, it's nothing to fear. I've been seeing and hearing (and even smelling!) things that those around me do not. I've had so many encounters of this kind that I wrote a book about it. Self-Care, Healing, and the Shift

There are seven indigenous tribes including the Mayans, the Hopi, and the Navajo, that say the calendar is coming to a close at 2012. In the Christian faith, this is a time when we are supposed to be in the Bible book of Revelation in which everything was destroyed, but instead of fulfilling that prophecy, the question has been asked: Is there another choice for humanity? Our destiny is yet unwritten.
As an empath, you may feel like you are living in a fun house where the floor is constantly shifting. You just start to get your sense of groundedness in the “new normal” and then it shifts again. I believe that people who are here on the planet came here by choice and that they have an agreement to come here and be part of this evolution of humanity. You are a part of it and you agreed to show up to do this work.
This is not to judge anyone, but we’re seeing a lot of people leaving the planet in mass exits. We’ve seen it in Japan (earthquake/tsunami), New Orleans (Katrina), New York (9/11), and other places. This is causing grief and anxiety. As a person sensitive to energy, we can be affected by the earth and cosmic energy currently in our environment.
You hear a lot about the acceleration or the shift into 2012. For as long as scientists could measure the magnetic field of the earth, we were at about 7.8 cycles per second. That began to change in 1987 (which is when we entered the final transition period on the Mayan calendar). By 1996 (less than a decade later), it had increased to about 9 cycles per second. In the next year and a half (December 2012), the Earth’s pulse is going to accelerate to about 13 cycles per second. The speed of acceleration, the way we download information, the way we communicate with each other, I anticipate that we will continue to change.
We are all comprised of atoms. We’ve become aware scientifically that an atom is almost entirely empty space. We used to think that everything is solid matter and that we were all divided, but now we realize that we are one. We are all part of a matrix or field of energy. Scientists have discovered that a single cell in every form of life on earth whether it is a rock, a human being, a blade of grass, or a fish. We all have one cell in common in our makeup.
We are seeing climatic chaos and I’ll share later some of what’s causing it. In 2010 US natural disasters doubled those of any single year since 1999. This has caused people to go into fear and grief. I will be giving tools on how to stay in a centered place of love. We have parts in our body that scientist have no idea how they are being used. You’ve heard them talk about how we only use 10 percent of our brain—and that’s the most highly evolved savant or educated humans. So we have this 90 percent that is dormant. We also have a possible 64 codes of amino acids and we are only using 20 of them. I believe with the speed of the acceleration we are waking up these parts of our body. As an empath, you may be feeling changes as these parts are waking up ahead of other people. If so, you are in the right place. Grounding Your Energy

Yesterday we were playing with how it feels to be centered. Today we will play with feeling our energy cord extending from our root chakra. We unknowingly ground our electrical energy with our feet as we walk about the earth. That’s why it feels so good to be in nature, especially when barefoot. There is also a current of electrical energy emanating from the first or root chakra at the base of the spine.
It’s important to be consciously grounding right now because we’re shifting so fast, and we’re releasing stuff so quickly that if we’re not grounded, we will hold onto emotions and problems, and may have too much or too little energy. But when we have our grounding cord flowing, we release our strong emotions or problems, and if anybody else’s stuff comes into your space you can easily release it too.
Let’s begin by focusing on the energy cord that flows from the base of your spine. Envision it flowing all the way down into the center of the earth. Let the cord be wide– sometimes you might need it as wide as your hips.  Whatever feels appropriate to you and will allow enough energy to flow and release. 
You may need to give yourself a present-time grounding regularly. I’m updating my grounding cord whenever I think about it during the day, or if I’m feeling a little ungrounded.  I just get rid of the old one and create a brand new one, and that way I’m staying in the present moment with what’s going on within me.  Even though this is a very simple and basic technique, it is really helpful.
