Much as been said or written about the year 2012, and some of the visible changes on the Earth such as the earthquakes and resulting tsunamis in Japan (and other parts of the world over the past few years) are a response to the astronomical changes being created as the Earth crosses the equator of the Milky Way. The change in magnetism as our planet moves across the equator of our galaxy has caused tectonic plates of Earth to move or shift. Scientist Gregg Braden mentioned in his best-selling book, Fractal Time, that 2012 is the end of a 5,125-year cycle of time. The Mayans and other cultures predicted this event, which has happened before and will happen again as Earth continues to move through space.
But, what about the intuitive and empathic people who are having a difficult time with empathic or surrogate suffering? Feeling the emotions of others during a world catastrophe can indeed be taxing. There have been times when I've been so impacted by the emotional energy of others that you would have thought I was the one who was directly affected. I would grieve so deeply on behalf of someone that I would actually become sick. While this proves our connection to one another, this behavior is definitely not healthy and it doesn't help those who are indeed suffering.
Getting our emotional energy entangled with the sorrow of others tends to cloud our judgment and ability to hear from Spirit and know HOW to help. Our prayers are important and effective, but we need to be clear-headed and spiritually guided in order to know what practical steps we might take to help. There are things we can do to help without becoming overly emotional.
I began by asking, "What would Spirit have us pray for the people in Japan?"
It is always safe to send love and light. Love naturally has a healing and protective quality. Light gives insight and wisdom where it is needed. Sending love and light is a way of activating Divine intelligence so that those in charge of rescue, repair, restoring power, and keeping the nuclear plants intact will know what to do to.Holding space for those who have been detrimentally affected is a way of helping stabilize their emotional field as well as our own and that of Mother Earth. Read a beautiful prayer from a friend I met on Twitter named @LuRainPenny.
It never hurts to ask angels and archangels to assist with calming Mother Earth. Many ancient cultures had "weather warriors" or shamans who could speak peace to storms (Jesus did this! Mark 4: 39 ) or conjure up rain in times of drought (Elijah 1 Kings 18). We can pray for or command peace on our planet.

Thank you for this, Yvonne. While I feel very bad for the people of Japan, I have a very hard time when I hear of the animals. I was so distraught one day watching a video about a dog staying by the side of another dog that is dying in Japan. I was overcome with such sadness and realized I needed to shut off the video before it swallowed me up. I can give light and love to all affected in Japan-- and know that is making a difference. Thank you for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteBless you, Barbara. It does tug at the heart strings and make us want to cry, but our prayers do have a positive effect. Thanks for being the wonderful person you are!
