Self-Forgiveness Prayer

Like everyone else, I have made many mistakes in the past. But, the greatest mistake of all would be to continue to have remorse and guilt over my past mistakes because this only continues to reinforce the illusion of separation from God. In truth, I have never been separated from God for a single instant.

Here is a prayer to help you release the shame and guilt you may be dealing with regarding mistakes you have made:

I now forgive myself for every past mistake. All condemnation is released. I give up every destructive feeling about the past, every feeling of separateness. I let go of all resentment, hate, and fear. God-Goddess knows nothing about sin for He/She did not create it. The Divine Spirit within me has never been contaminated with shame, guilt, or blame. Divine Love frees me from any sense of condemnation toward myself and others. There is no condemnation in the Christ consciousness. Therefore, as I forgive, I AM freely forgiven and released from my own illusions and miscreations. I let go of the past. I have no guilt regarding the past and no apprehension for the future. I AM free and I AM a new creation. And so it is.

Smudging

I’ve been using a Native American tradition called smudging for many years. The technique is very simple and can be used to clear a person, animal, or space. You will need a match or lighter, a small bundle of herbs or a handful of loose leaves such as sage, rosemary, thyme, or cedar; and a bowl or saucer to catch any ashes. Herb bundles are available at herb stores, metaphysical shops, and online markets. I purchased some excellent white sage on Amazon.com.

Place the herbs in a bowl and light the leaves or bundle. Allow the flame to extinguish on its own, or blow it out after about fifteen seconds. Be aware that a glass or metal container will get hot even though the herbs are smoldering and not afire. A pottery mug with a handle works quite well for this purpose. Then use your hand or a feather wand to fan the smoke around the subject you want to clear. Begin with the top of the head and move to the feet, directing the smoke to cover the entire body of the person or animal. If you are clearing a room, direct the smoke into all corners, toward the ceiling, and the floor as you walk around your house or apartment in a counter-clockwise fashion. You may feel a sudden shift as an entity is expelled into the smoke. You can say a prayer to further your intent to remove any stagnant or unhealthy energy.

Daily Empath Prayer Before Leaving Home

Prayer is an important part of any spiritual practice because it offers the opportunity to petition the divine source, which is always positive, uplifting, and beneficent. Though it is hard to believe sometimes, earthbound entities do respect free will and respond to prayers that gently ask them to leave. Regardless of whether you believe in entities or not, these methods work to remove detrimental influences of all kinds. These practices cannot do you any harm or cause retaliation. If you sense you are being affected by an entity or dark energy—recite a prayer as often as necessary. Here are a few examples:

As I leave home today, I will not sense other people’s feelings or pain. I ask my angels or spirit guides to put white light around me to prevent me from picking up energy that is not beneficial to me. The Light will heal and bless others as it protects me.

Father/Mother/God/Spirit/Source, I ask that all souls, energy patterns, and entities be sent on their spiritual evolution for the highest good and mutual benefit of everyone concerned.

The Great Invocation
